The RockMaster 20 E302 Combo is based on the highly regarded GigMaster 15, but with a difference. Voiced specifically for that incredible classic rock sound, the RockMaster 20 even features aesthetic design aspects that achieve an attractive vintage styling to match its tonal characteristics. Equipped with two switchable channels that are powered by two ECC83 preamp tubes, the RockMaster 20 E302 powers its 10'' Celestion G10N-40 speaker with 20 watts of power from the two EL84 tubes in its power section. On top of all this, there is a switchable digital reverb at your disposal for getting that perfect space for your sound.
The ENGL RockMaster 20's vintage-esque grey front control panel is equipped with 8 chicken-head control knobs, two buttons, two switches, and an input jack. With two available channels, the clean channel can be adjusted from pure, shimmering cleans to subtle edge and crunch, whilst the channel residing to the right delivers lead gain for anything from rock crunch to searing hard-rock leads. The 3-band EQ built in to the RockMaster 20 is shared by each channel, along with the mid-boost function which is ideal for cutting through a mix. The handy master volume control enables you to adjust the overall volume of your amplifier without having to adjust the volume balance between both the clean and lead channels. Thanks to a simple operational design, the RockMaster 20 can deliver astounding tones in an instant.
On the rear panel of the RockMaster 20 E302, you will find the amp's Power Soak function. This allows you to reduce the power output of the amp down from 20W to 5W, and even 1W. You can get that same gorgeous tube overdrive and dynamics at much lower volumes, resulting in excellent quality recordings in different spaces, and an excellent amp for practice or smaller and more intimate performances. The speaker in the RockMaster 20 can be switched off any time, allowing you to take advantage of the speaker simulation function via the amp's line output. On top of this, there is a switchable FX loop, and the option to add additional speaker cabinets (1 x 8 Ohm, 1 x 16 Ohm, or 2 x 8 Ohm). The RockMaster 20 also has the capability to have footswitches connected enabling you to achieve full control over channel switching, reverb, mid-boost, and the FX loop without having to walk over to your amplifier.
