The Ironheart 15W Amp Head is a powerful all-tube amplifier with a single high-gain channel designed for metal guitarists. Equipped with ECC83 Preamp valves and EL84 output valves, the IRT15H Amp delivers massive amounts of crushing Ironheart tones suitable for even the most brutal musical genres. Its 15W of pure tonal power offers enough headroom to deliver detailed tones before driving the tubes into the realms of distortion. This amp also provides the option to switch to less than 1W via the second input, perfect for times when loud volumes aren’t permitted.

Perfect Tone Shaping Capabilities

Just like the other Ironheart amps, the IRT15H is equipped with a variety of controllable parameters to provide the ultimate tone tweaking. Its passive EQ section provides adjustments to the treble, middle, and bass frequencies to ensure your tone suits any setting, while its footswitchable pre-boost switch is perfect for increasing the input to the preamp tubes to create even more distortion. Experiment with the drive and volume controls to produce a variety of distorted soundscapes, from a lightly overdriven sound to full on metal tones. Its DI output features a high-quality speaker emulator, letting you send the true characteristics of your tone to DAWs, PAs, and mixing consoles. What makes this amp head perfect for practice spaces and homes is the additional headphones output, which offers a silent practice, and the CD/MP3 input which lets players connect audio devices to play along to music and backing tracks.

FX Loop & Footswitch Input

The addition of an FX loop allows players to connect their favourite stompoxes to this amp’s signal chain. The FX loop also features a mode switch, allowing Ironheart Amp Head to work with FX units with 0dBu or -10dBu nominal output levels. The Footswitch input provides players with external control over the Ironheart’s boost and reverb functions.
