Custom P90-style pickups

At the heart of the RS02CB is a pair of specially voiced P90-style pickups designed with Chris Buck's tonal preferences in mind. These pickups are tuned for slightly lower output, allowing greater clarity and responsiveness at lower volumes while still delivering strong, open tones when pushed. The design emphasises dynamic response and articulation, creating a direct connection between the guitar's acoustic resonance and its amplified sound.

Chambered body with acoustic design

The RS02CB features a chambered construction developed through Yamaha’s Acoustic Design process. By strategically shaping the internal chambers, Yamaha enhances the guitar's natural resonance while also reducing weight.
