What's new in Ozone 11 Standard

• Transient / Sustain Mode:
  • Adding a new dimension to audio processing, Transient / Sustain lets you enhance your masters with a musical punch and sustain. Added to 10 different modules with Ozone 11 Standard, you can implement it to the Imaging module, widening the transients across your drums in the stereo field in a musical way. Alternatively, take the Exciter module and apply the saturation to the sustain portion of the signal, letting the transients come through cleanly, with long and musical sustain following.
• Assistive Vocal Balance:
  • Find the sweet spot of your vocals with the Assistive Vocal Balance module. By studying hundreds of leading songs, the Master Assistant has gained the expertise to optimally position vocals within the mix. Couple this with the newly introduced AI Vocal Checker, and you can bid farewell to concerns over levels.
• Upward Compressor:
  • Integrated into the Maximizer module, the Upward Compressor mode lets you make mixes loud, whilst preserving the dynamics of your track with unparalleled accuracy. Boost quiet sections while preserving fast transients with the Soft Clip circuit, a transparent compression circuit. Increase density and detail with one intuitive slider that replaces complex parallel routing, gain-staging, and level-matching.

Additional enhancements

In addition to more modules, improvements across the interface and user workflow has been implemented with Ozone 11 Advanced. Delta Buttons lets you make subtle mastering moves across all modules by letting you monitor the processing in isolation to hear how it's affecting your audio.

Master Assistant has been updated to solve the most common problems associated with beginner mixes, such as imbalanced vocals against the music. Whether too loud or too quiet, Master Assistant is able to balance mixes with extreme accuracy, applying all the necessary modules required to get a clean and balanced master nearly instantly. All of this has been implemented into a newly designed layout for an even easier user experience for producers and engineers at all ability levels.

To get the most from your mastering session, the interface has been updated, letting you intuitively dial in the Low End Focus, Spectral Shaper and Maximizer, along with improved metering for the input and output loudness levels.

• Exciter: Mix and match between seven distortion types for warmth and character including Tape, Retro and Tube.
• Dynamics: Tame the dynamics of your mix for consistency in up to four bands.
• Match EQ: Match your EQ to any reference audio with over 8,000 separate bands for unparalleled precision and accuracy.
• Vintage Series: Includes Tape, Compressor, Limiter and EQ to inject vintage analog flavour to your masters.

Master assistant

The unique Master Assistant will analyse your track and build a custom signal chain for precise and effortless mastering. Master Assistants can take complete control of the mastering process with groundbreaking matching technology. By analysing and identifying the genre of your song, Ozone's master assistant will generate a target and match the tonal balance, dynamics, width, and loudness of your mix. Alternatively, create a custom target by uploading a reference file and the Master Assistant will determine the same parameters to match your mix. A reference file can be any song of your choice, otherwise, review and toggle between options generated from the latest chart hit in each genre.
