Studio recording - anytime, anywhere

This portable machine is the ideal way to record up to three tracks at a time whenever you want to, no matter where you are. This musician-focused interface features a simplified but powerful computer that allows you to get your songs down and edited as if you were in a professional studio. It is possible to record and mix, export and share your music - all from this wonderful box. There is a metronome, reverb and other effects for guitars, pianos, vocals, and more. Punch in, punch out, and add cue points to help you record and edit music your way.

Incredible audio quality

Essentially unclippable preamps recording. The MixPre-3M features three high-performance Kashmir microphone preamps. These give you the highest level of recording quality in a device so compact. The Kashmir pres are custom-engineered and features Class-A front ends that are incredibly discrete. Capture the finest details of your recordings.

Powerful custom built software

The three balanced line level and mic inputs each features 96dB of gain, 48v phantom power, low cut filters and limiters, a 3.5mm 2-channel Aux/Mic input, and four USB inputs from a MAC or PC. These inputs can be routed anywhere on the device so you can simply change what track the input is sent to via the program.

Pure portability

This Sound Devices recorder is incredibly portable. Its extremely durable exterior protects all the inner workings. The complexity of its internals means that the MixPre must be as tough as possible. The die-cast aluminium chassis makes this incredibly robust and amazingly lightweight. The MixPre is very compact, it's even small enough to fit in your back pocket.
