32-bit floating technology – distortion-free sound for every take

The Zoom M3 MicTrack utilises cutting-edge 32-bit floating-point technology to ensure clip-free recording no matter the sound source. Compared to other recorders with 24-bit audio, 32-bit floating point provides extra headroom that will adjust to your sound source to ensure the best possible audio fidelity each and every time. You can also toggle between stereo/mono recording modes for different recording applications. The stereo mode features two different settings with the 90-degree setting providing accurate and transparent stereo capture. The 120-degree stereo setting provides an expanded stereo field which is ideal for capturing ambience/sound effects.

Automatic backup recordings and onboard monitoring

Never miss a take again thanks to the inclusion of backup files. The M3 will automatically save a backup Mid-Side RAW file every time you record, so you never have to deal with a bad take or corrupt recordings again. It also provides the flexibility to change the stereo width of your recordings when it comes to the editing process.

You can also take it a step further and use the M3's 3.5mm stereo output to connect and record a backup of your audio to your camera. The lightweight shotgun mic attaches directly to your camera, providing a streamlined setup for recording wherever you go. Monitor your sound in real-time using the built-in 3.5mm headphone output. The headphone output provides zero-latency monitoring for your incoming audio signal.

12-hour battery life and USB microphone capabilities

Suitable for even the most demanding recording sessions, the M3 boasts an impressive battery life of up to 12 hours whilst recording via 2 x AA batteries. You can record directly to SDXC cards with up to 1TB of memory. The onboard controls make it easy to record and access different settings and modes as well as a built-in low-pass filter for removing unwanted rumble and background noise. Not only is perfect for on-camera recording, but the USB-C port also allows you to use the M3 MicTrack as a USB microphone when connecting a computer – perfect for recording at home or live-streaming.
